Update 19/7/2020


Update Changelog, planned release on Sunday 19th July (after the Game Jam is finished):

This is our first ever major update, below is a full list of everything that has been changed. This update will be released as soon as the Game Jam is over and we can update our game. We look forward to any feedback you have, and any suggestions!

  • Added 'Ultra Zombie' which spawns at the start of every wave, and takes 3 shots to kill.
  • Added subtle shadow overlay.
  • Added mute button.
  • Added new logo on Splash Screen.
  • Added windows download.
  • Completely re-done the zombie-spawning, points and wave system.
  • Made Turret hit box smaller.
  • Changed art compression settings, to improve colour depth.
  • Changed menu buttons.
  • Changed death menu colour.
  • Fixed bug where Zombies stop spawning after 50 points.
  • Fixed bug where zombies never spawn from the right.
  • Removed Unity full-screen option, as the game doesn't render correctly in full-screen.
  • Removed version number from title screen.
  • Renamed project in unity from 'GMTK' to 'Turret Malfunction'
  • Upgraded from Unity 2D to URP.
  • Minor bug fixes.
  • General stability updates.
